History of the Calendar boy or girl
It is said that this “calendar boy or girl chart” has more than three hundred years of history, was showcased at the Qing palace, kept by the dedicated
eunuch, exclusively for royal use. Since it is a queen’s thing, of course it’s not easily seen by common people.
Time to the late Qing Dynasty, the eight power allied forces invaded china, and the British got the chart, and later after to a science and engineering doctor of Austria. Still later, one of Chinese scholars went to Austria and copied it painstakingly, so the chart return to its native country finally.
Still later, the owner of this chart could not bear this secret, so he generously made it be public by published it in the Economic Times on January 24, 1972. So now people can enjoy it.
